SISKIN (M) // CARDUELIS SPINUS (12cm)

SISKIN (M) // CARDUELIS SPINUS (12cm)

CHARMING AND WELL-MARKED little finch, resident in the U.K all year, bet tend to head north in the summer, so was very lucky to see this male and a juvenile, both captured. Have not see any in Kent this year, but a trip to Sussex proved fruitful. Best time to see them is in the winter, when it searches in the leafiest trees for seeds.
