DOUBLE-SPURRED FRANCOLIN // FRANCOLINUS BIALCARATUS (35cm)
GAMBIA FEB 2019
NORMALLY all you hear and see, is a clatter of the long grasses, very urgent low short flight if disturbed, and then lost in long grasses again. Very shy and retiring ! This is my first image in six visits to the Gambia, He popped his head up, I was poised for another species of bird, got this only frame off, and it was gone, not the best, but I am chuffed to bits, as I do not know of anybody that has captured this Francolin species in a while.!
THANK YOU, for being a friend, love reading your kind comments, it is very appreciated. Please stay safe , God bless
