DIEDERICK CUCKOO // CHRYSOCOCYX CAPRIUS (Juv. 20cm)

DIEDERICK CUCKOO // CHRYSOCOCYX CAPRIUS (Juv. 20cm)

GAMBIA TOUR >>RAREST AND LUCKY FIND, was this juvenile cuckoo calling regularly, and fluffing out its wings to be fed by its chosen parasitizes parents Village Weavers, who are only a third of its size, and had to work hard to keep it fed with insects . Saw this three days in a row, and have about forty keeper images. When they are fully grown, the head turns green, and they loose the coral-red bill. A sheer delight to see, in fact when I first spotted it , knew it was special, but did not have a clue to what it was.
